Welcome!! The EPMS Connections Department is a diverse group of Specialists who are excited to work with students throughout the school year. Through various courses at EPMS, all students will be building skills in the area of reading and writing through different English/Humanities/ELA Literacy Intervention classes. In Math, we will continue utilizing the Gen Ed. Math curriculum, which will give the students the skills needed for Math 1 in high school.  Our school offers a spectrum of supports, ranging from General Education consultation to Self-Contained Classroom settings. Please review the course description that each teacher sends out at the beginning of the year for each of their respective classes.  We look forward to working with the amazing students in our classrooms this school year! 

 

Anticipate communications via email, Talking Points, or phone calls regarding student progress and annual/triennial IEP meetings. If your child is due for a triennial (every 3 years students are evaluated to determine eligibility), case managers will be sending home information for parents/guardians to review, provide feedback, if any, and sign for authorization. For annuals, case managers will call to set up meetings and send home a meeting notice for calendaring purposes.  If you ever have concerns about schedules, workload, or anything pertaining to the IEP, please feel free to contact your child’s case manager by calling,  emailing or messaging through Talking Points.
